RACE PACK COLLECTION

Verification of cards, delivery of material and race number c/o Fantini Club (Palasportur secretariat area).
METHOD FOR RECEIVING THE RACE PACKAGE (for those who have registered online): cyclists must, after the registration is finalized, print the email containing all the data received at the time of registration and must present it to the secretary area.
NB. The email is required for the collection of the race bib. Those who will not have printed the email can have it printed in the appropriate area by paying Euro 1 for secretarial fees.

The withdrawal of the race pack by a third party can be made with a written proxy and related documentation, the proxy file can only be requested9 by email to info@granfondoviadelsale.com.
For sports groups, the president of the club or the person in charge, will be able to collect the envelopes and race packs for all their athletes. This request must be agreed with the organization, a request that can only and exclusively be made by email to info@granfondoviadelsale.com.

The race pack is delivered only during the distribution times and is not sent home.
Sizes are guaranteed only for packs picked up on Friday and Saturday morning.

Sunday: 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m

AWARDS

The top 3 finishers in the Granfondo and Mediofondo category are awarded immediately after the finish.
Category and company awards as per ACSI regulations.
Companies will be awarded according to the number of participants (with chip).
All awards must be collected by the date itself from the event, after that date the awards will no longer be available nor will any shipment of same be made.

ELIGIBILITY

The event is open to the categories set out in the ACSI CICLISMO national regulations, which are as follows:

NB. Prizes will be awarded for categories with a minimum of 3 participants.

Participation is permitted for ACSI Ciclismo members and all organisations and federations belonging to the Consulta Nazionale Ciclismo with valid membership cards for the current year.
Non-members may participate by subscribing to a daily card at a cost of EUR 10.00 (validity of insurance cover limited to the duration of the sporting event). In order to subscribe for the day card, a copy of the valid medical certificate for competitive cycling must be presented.

Foreign cardholders may only participate if they are in possession of a valid card issued by their home federation. For foreign cyclists not in possession of such a card, participation is only permitted with the signing of the day card, the production of the medical certificate of fitness for competitive activity together with the signing of the ethics declaration.
The day card for the 2025 edition for foreign cyclists only will be FREE OF CHARGE as agreed between the Organising Committee and Acsi Ciclismo.

Professionals, ex-professionals (before the date for obtaining an amateur card) may only participate in the event if invited by the O.C. and will not be classified. They may not, however, condition the competitive outcome of the event.

N.B. By signing the registration form, each participant guarantees his/her own behaviour during and after the event; he/she also declares that he/she is in good physical condition and in possession of a valid membership card for the year of the competition; that he/she has read and approved the following regulations.
This signature has the legal value of self-certification in relation to what has been declared. The organising committee also reserves the right not to accept unwanted entries. In this case, the person concerned will be notified before the event. The Organising Committee also reserves the right to take legal action for compensation for any damage caused should participants cause damage to the event's image through behaviour contrary to sporting ethics.

DAY PASS

Those who do not have a regular valid membership card may participate by signing up for a daily card with insurance coverage limited to the duration of the sports event at a cost of 10.00 euros. To subscribe to the daily card, the athlete must present a copy of the medical certificate of fitness for competitive activity specific to cycling, and complete the ethics declaration to take part in the event. For foreign cyclists without a card, please refer to the section on eligibility in these regulations.

REGULATION - RACE CHIP

28th Granfondo Via del Sale, uses EVODATA Official Timer with “chip” technology. Each participant must be equipped with a valid personal chip or a daily rental chip. Information and conditions on the use of chips are published at https://www.endu.net/it/regolamentochip. Failure to use or incorrect use of the chip will result in non-inclusion in the ranking and non-attribution of the time taken.

N.B. When registering, it is not compulsory to enter the chip number.

SCORES

The ACSI scores apply for the classification of the Italian Championship.

STARTING BIB

Display of the race number on the bike and back in a VISIBLE manner is obligatory and MUST NOT BE CHANGED. The number must not be rolled up. Participants with numbers that are not visible will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Jury and the Organizing Committee.

RACE TIME, STANDINGS

The timing for the definition of rankings will be calculated according to the following criterion:
ABSOLUTE
1.Vip and Red grid nos. 1-1,200: gun time: for all the starters in this grid, the race time is calculated from the official race starting time. For all the other grids, from No. 1,201 onwards, gun time will be used as reference for calculation, but with a starting time relative to the first athlete of each grid who has crossed the timing mat.
CATEGORIES
For all starters in EACH GRID, the race time is calculated from the actual crossing of EACH CYCLIST on the line of departure.
N.B.: THOSE WHO START IN A GRID THAT DOES NOT MATCH THAT ON THEIR BIB WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

Those who do not cross the START and FINISH line mats will not be in the ranking.

MECHANICAL AND HEALTH ASSISTANCE

Mechanical assistance free of charge all along the route (the mechanic is paid directly for spare parts). Health care for all participants. In case of withdrawal, wait for the broom wagon or report your withdrawal to the organization. To all those who are late compared to the schedule, assistance will not be guaranteed. The telephone numbers for assistance will be inside the race packet.

ROAD RULES

Information to the participating athletes and escorts for their safety. Participants are required to observe the rules governing road traffic as well as all those commonly defined as "ordinary prudence” for the duration of the touristic cycling event from start to finish. Please note that the event takes place on public roads and in any weather condition. The organization accepts no liability for any accidents that may occur before, during and after the event to athletes and escorts. TEAM CARS OR SCOOTERS ARE NOT AUTHORISED TO ACCOMPANY THE ATHLETES under penalty of disqualification of the parties and beneficiary teams. For matters not provided for, rules that regulate ACSI CICLISMO events will apply. The organizer is expressly free from liability for circumstances, any damage caused by acts attributable exclusively to the participant, as well as damage to property or persons that the participant causes on his own initiative. The organizer is expressly free from liability for circumstances resulting from an accident and/or force majeure, or due to circumstances that the organizer could not, with professional diligence, reasonably foresee or resolve. The payment of the fee automatically implies acceptance of the rules. It is compulsory to wear an approved full safety helmet. The event has challenging points, so all competitors are asked to pay close attention to the signs placed by the organisation along the entire route and to inquire at the race management if necessary. The two routes are guarded by police, asa staff and volunteers for the duration of the event. The temporary suspension of traffic (15 min.) will only be active for competitors who are in the delimited space of vehicles ‘ BEGINNING AND END OF RACE ’, while for the others the obligation remains to respect the rules of the highway code.

SPECIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

TROFEO SAP SPORT RAVENNA – TROFEO CESP

Classification reserved to all the members of the Police Forces and the Armed Forces participating in Mediofondo and Granfondo event. Members of the following list can enter this classification: Polizia di Stato, Arma dei Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, Corpo Forestale dello Stato, Polizia Penitenziaria, Corpo dei Vigili del Fuoco, Comandi di Polizia Municipale, Comandi di Polizia Provinciale, Esercito, Capitaneria di Porto, Aeronautica, Marina Militare. Membership to this category must be indicated upon registration.

SPECIAL AIMANC CLASSIFICATION

Classification reserved to all AIMANC members - Italian Cyclist Magistrates Lawyers Notaries Association - enrolled in the mediofondo and granfondo race. Membership to this category must be indicated upon registration.
Prizes will be awarded to the first man and woman of the medium and long routes.

REFRESHMENTS AND PASTA PARTY

Refreshment points will be along the route and at the finish. At the finish pasta party c/o Fantini Club. Important: To access the pasta party you must hand in the voucher found inside the race packet at the entrance.
It will be possible to purchase the Pasta party voucher for accompanying persons at the Fantini Club bar counter.
In order to protect the environment, it is forbidden to throw garbage along the roads, placing it in the appropriate containers located near the refreshment points and/or at the finish line.

Anyone caught by the organization staff and/or race officials in non-compliance with this rule will be disqualified, or penalized at the discretion of the jury.

REPLACEMENT OR CANCELLATION

The replacement or cancellation of an athlete will be accepted only by 15 February 2024 by paying a contribution of € 10.00 for secretarial expenses.
In the event of the replacement of an athlete, the fee must be paid by the due date together with the new athlete’s data.
In the event of a cancellation, the fee must be paid by the due date together with the request to keep the registration valid for the 2023 edition.
In no case will the fee be returned.
Please send requests to info@granfondoviadelsale.com, the organization will provide bank details on which to make the payment.

REGISTRATION VERIFICATION AND CARD UPDATE

You will be able to independently verify your registration on the Endu website at the link:
https://api.endu.net/r/ec/85845 after accessing the reserved area with your credentials.
Scrolling down the page you will find the fields to enter your name and surname and search.
In order to complete your registration you MUST communicate your valid membership card number for the current season.
You can update your card number yourself by accessing your personal area at https://www.endu.net/.
If you are not in possession of your card, you can regularise your position once you have purchased your card during the event.

VARIATIONS

The organization reserves the right to make changes to the rules and route at any time.
Note: Should the event be canceled due to force majeure beyond the organizing committee's control, the organizing committee reserves the right to retain the registration fees paid.
The organizing committee also reserves the right to claim damages from those whose misbehavior causes damage to the event's image.

N.B It should be noted that the event called Granfondo di Ciclismo Via del Sale is not a competitive event but is a bicycle touring rally.
